Designed for seniors, families, and adults with diverse abilities, the building will provide safe, secure, and deeply affordable homes—directly supporting ICS’s mission to enrich lives and strengthen communities.

ICS is a long‑standing non‑profit providing community‑based support programs across the Southern Interior. Through its housing program, ICS offers safe, affordable, and supportive housing options, helping individuals and families achieve stability and independence.

The development includes a mix of:

  • 17 one‑bedroom units

  • 23 two‑bedroom units

  • 5 three‑bedroom units

Supported by the BC Housing Community Housing Fund (CHF), the Canada Housing Initiative, CMHC Seed Funding, and the City of Kamloops the project reflects a durable, community‑focused investment in long‑term housing affordability.

Terra has been actively engaged on this project since March 2017, leading feasibility work, proposal development, funding coordination, municipal and consultant management, and overall development oversight. The construction start represents a major milestone following years of persistent effort to advance the project through design iteration and pandemic‑related delays.

With completion targeted for June 2027, Tranquille Place will deliver much‑needed homes for ICS clients and contribute meaningfully to the long‑term well‑being and resilience of the Kamloops community.
