Parkdale Place Housing Society Breaks Ground on Dickson Manor in Summerland, BC.

Dickson Manor Groundbreaking

Construction has officially begun on Dickson Manor in Summerland, BC, located within the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Syilx People of the Okanagan Nation.

Terra Housing is serving as development manager for this vital seniors housing project, working with Parkdale Place Housing Society as owner and operator, Meiklejohn Architects Inc. as project architect, and VanMar Constructors as construction manager.

Incorporated in 1976, Parkdale Place Housing Society is a long-standing community non-profit that provides independent living options for seniors, individuals, and couples in Summerland.

Dickson Manor will be a four-storey building providing 90 affordable homes for seniors on the former Legion Village site, responding to the growing demand for seniors housing in the community. The project is supported through funding from BC Housing, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), and the Municipality of Summerland.

We’re looking forward to sharing updates as construction progresses!

From initial vision and financial strategy to design, approvals, construction, and far beyond occupancy, we're beside our clients every step of the way. We’re proud to have worked with Parkdale Place to turn their goals into reality.
